Taxila Police Crack Down on Drugs, Arrest Inter-District Drug Supplier

5.3 Kilograms of Hashish Recovered; Suspect Allegedly Supplied Drugs to Educational Institutions and Various Areas of the City

Rawalpindi (Shah Rukh / Tehsil Reporter): Taxila Police, as part of a crackdown against drugs, arrested an inter-district drug supplier and recovered 5 kilograms and 300 grams of hashish from his possession.

According to a spokesperson for Rawalpindi Police, the arrested suspect allegedly disclosed during interrogation that he had been supplying drugs to educational institutions as well as various areas of the city.

Police said that the suspect had previously been involved in drug-related cases and had also been convicted in such cases.

City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi said that all possible measures are being taken to eliminate the menace of drugs. He said efforts to protect the younger generation from the dangers of drugs and operations against drug dealers would be further intensified.
