Rawalpindi (City Reporter) Following the directives of Rawalpindi Division Commissioner and Director General of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Salman Ghani, measures are being taken to ensure transparency, accountability, and performance in RDA’s financial matters through the implementation of the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. In this regard, a meeting was held in the RDA conference room with the team from the Office of the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) regarding the implementation of SAP ERP at RDA. The meeting was chaired by Additional DG RDA Masood Ahmed Bukhari. Director of Finance RDA Masood Arshad, along with Deputy Director IT Dawood Khalid, provided a detailed presentation on the implementation of SAP ERP and informed the participants about various aspects of the system. The aim of this initiative is to ensure transparency, performance, and digitalization in RDA’s financial management system. Through this collaboration, all financial transactions, budgeting processes, and payments of RDA will be conducted through the SAP ERP system. This system will help modernize financial affairs and improve overall performance in financial matters. The implementation of SAP ERP will digitize and automate RDA’s complete payment system, ensure transparency and accountability in financial matters, strengthen internal financial controls, reduce manual interventions, and provide real-time financial reporting and monitoring for better decision-making. On this occasion, Additional DG RDA Masood Ahmed Bukhari stated that the implementation of SAP ERP is an important step towards modern governance, transparency, and financial reforms. The use of modern technology will make RDA’s financial system more effective, transparent, and accountable. He thanked the Controller General of Accounts and the FABS team for their cooperation and support in this important initiative. He added that the digitalization of the financial system will help improve institutional performance, stabilize financial controls, and ensure more transparent and effective management of financial matters at RDA.
