A dignified ceremony was organized at Police Lines Headquarters Islamabad to pay tribute to the martyrs of Islamabad Police. DIG Traffic / Director General Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joyia attended the event as the chief guest.
The ceremony was held to honor the unforgettable sacrifices of the police martyrs. Paying tribute to their services, the participants said that the martyrs sacrificed their present to secure the future of the nation. They termed the brave officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty as a source of pride for the entire nation.
According to details, the ceremony was organized in honor of the 70 martyrs of Islamabad Police. DIG Traffic / DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joyia, as the chief guest, visited the Martyrs’ Memorial, laid a floral wreath, and offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs. A well-disciplined police contingent also presented a guard of honor on the occasion.
Senior police officers, families and children of the martyrs, representatives of the business community, and members of civil society attended the ceremony. The chief guest, along with senior police officers, met the families of the martyrs and paid tribute to their sacrifices for the country and the nation.
During the ceremony, documentaries and videos highlighting the services and sacrifices of Islamabad Police martyrs were also presented to the participants.
Addressing the ceremony, DIG Traffic / DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joyia said that the martyrs of Islamabad Police sacrificed their lives while performing their duties to protect the country and its people. Their sacrifices will always be remembered in golden words.
He said that Police Martyrs Day is a day to honor the sacrifices of martyrs and renew the commitment to uphold their mission. “The martyrs sacrificed their today to secure our tomorrow,” he added.
He further stated that due to the sacrifices of Islamabad Police martyrs, the federal capital has become one of the safest cities in the world.
Senior police officers said that the sacrifices and contributions of police martyrs are unforgettable. They assured that Islamabad Police will always stand with the families of martyrs in every difficult time.
They said that the 70 martyrs of Islamabad Police are a valuable asset of the department and their sacrifices for peace and security will never be forgotten. They added that living nations always remember their heroes who sacrifice their lives for the protection of their country.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the chief guest met the children of the martyrs and distributed gifts among them.
