Stolen Vehicles Worth Rs. 6.7 Million Recovered; Further Investigation Underway

The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Unit of Islamabad Police has taken major action against a gang involved in multiple vehicle theft incidents and arrested two of its members. Stolen vehicles worth Rs. 6.7 million were recovered from their possession, while further investigation is underway.

According to details, on the special directives of the Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Islamabad Police continues its indiscriminate crackdown against individuals involved in vehicle theft across the federal capital.

In this regard, the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Unit police team, using technical and human intelligence, conducted an effective operation and arrested two members of a gang wanted in connection with multiple vehicle theft cases.

Stolen vehicles worth Rs. 6.7 million were recovered from the possession of the arrested suspects. They were identified as Shah Nawaz and Mushtaq.

During preliminary investigation, the suspects reportedly confessed to their involvement in multiple vehicle theft incidents in different areas of Islamabad. Further investigation is underway.

SSP Investigation Suleman Zafar said that Islamabad Police is taking all possible measures to protect the lives and property of citizens. He added that no criminal elements would be allowed to disturb peace and security in the city.
