ATTOCK (Staff Reporter): Punjab Local Government Secretary Mian Shakeel Ahmed visited Attock district and conducted a detailed inspection of various development projects underway under the Punjab Development Programme (PDP).

Deputy Commissioner Attock Dr. Mudassar Ahmed Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Attock Aneel Saeed, Assistant Commissioner Attock Arif Qureshi, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Attock Sardar Aftab Ahmed Khan, and other relevant officers were also present during the visit.

During the visit, the Punjab Local Government Secretary was given a detailed briefing on the progress of ongoing development schemes in Attock district, construction quality, utilization of funds, and the expected completion timelines. The relevant officers stated that work on all projects under the Punjab Development Programme was progressing rapidly and would be completed within the stipulated period and according to high-quality standards so that better facilities could be provided to the public in a timely manner.

The Punjab Local Government Secretary inspected various development projects on site and directed the authorities to ensure construction quality, pace of work, and transparency. He instructed the relevant officers that no negligence or delay in the completion of any project would be tolerated and that every project must be completed according to the prescribed standards and timelines.

Later, the Punjab Local Government Secretary also visited Tehsil Hazro, where he inspected ongoing development projects and received updates from the relevant authorities regarding their progress.

Directing the authorities to ensure the timely completion of projects and give priority to the public interest in all circumstances, he said that the Punjab government, in accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was taking practical measures to provide basic facilities in urban areas and ensure the quality completion of development projects.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Attock Dr. Mudassar Ahmed Shah assured the Punjab Local Government Secretary that all ongoing development projects across the district were being continuously monitored and would be completed within the stipulated period and to the highest standards before being made available to the public.
