Every Possible Guidance Will Be Provided to Pakistani Investors; Saudi Vision 2030 Has Created New Investment Opportunities
JEDDAH (Khalid Nawaz Cheema): Chairman of the Pakistan Investor Forum Jeddah, Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood, has announced that Pakistan’s Independence Day will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia this year with full national spirit, enthusiasm, and in a befitting manner.
In this regard, a three-day cricket tournament, flag-hoisting ceremony, national songs, children’s programmes, and other national events will be organized in collaboration with the Consulate of Pakistan in Jeddah. Various organizations of the Pakistani community and the consulate’s cricket team will also participate in the celebrations.
The announcement was made during a meeting of the Pakistan Investor Forum Jeddah, hosted by the Forum’s Secretary General Abdul Khaliq Lak at a dinner held in honour of the Forum’s members. Former Federal Minister Chaudhry Shahbaz Hussain attended the event as the chief guest, while senior office-bearers of the Forum, investors, and prominent business personalities participated in large numbers.
Addressing the meeting, Chairman Chaudhry Shafqat Mahmood said:
“Pakistan Investor Forum Jeddah is a strong platform for overseas Pakistani investors. Our mission is to encourage new investors, guide them, and provide them with the information and facilities required to establish successful businesses in Saudi Arabia.”
He said that more than 2,000 Pakistani investors were successfully conducting businesses in various sectors in Saudi Arabia. Through their services, they were making a positive contribution to the Saudi economy while also providing valuable foreign exchange to Pakistan.
He further said:
“Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030 is a historic economic transformation plan that has created new opportunities for growth and investment for foreign investors, particularly the Pakistani business community.”
Forum Secretary General Abdul Khaliq Lak said:
“Those Pakistanis who wish to start businesses in Saudi Arabia will receive guidance from the Forum at every stage. Complete assistance will be provided regarding business licences, investment laws, registration, and liaison with relevant institutions so that new investors can confidently begin their business activities.”
He said that the growing prospects of Saudi investment in Pakistan reflected the strong economic relations between the two countries. If Pakistani investors residing in Saudi Arabia wished to benefit from business opportunities in Pakistan or other countries, particularly Sudan, the Forum would provide them with full guidance.
The meeting unanimously decided that various programmes would be organized to make the Independence Day celebrations memorable. In this regard, young investor Ali Khurshid was assigned responsibility for coordination so that effective communication could be maintained between the Consulate of Pakistan, community organizations, and the Forum and all arrangements could be completed in a timely manner.
During the event, the participants appreciated the exemplary fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan and expressed their resolve that Pakistani investors would continue to play an increasingly effective role in the economic development of both countries and the promotion of bilateral trade cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, former Federal Minister Chaudhry Shahbaz Hussain appreciated the activities of the Pakistan Investor Forum Jeddah and said that Pakistani investors abroad were a valuable asset of the national economy. He said that such forums played an important role in bringing overseas Pakistanis together on a single platform.
