Gujar Khan Police Arrest Proclaimed Offender Wanted in Murder, Attempted Murder and Assault Case

Suspect allegedly killed a father and son and injured two others in firing over a land dispute; had been absconding since May 2020, while seven accomplices have already been arrested, says SP Sadar Anam Sher

Rawalpindi (Sanobar Kiani): Gujar Khan Police Station have taken important action by arresting a proclaimed offender wanted in a case involving murder, attempted murder and assault. The arrested suspect had been wanted by police since May 2020 and had been in hiding to evade arrest.

According to a spokesperson for Rawalpindi Police, the proclaimed offender, along with his accomplices, allegedly opened fire during a dispute over land, killing a father and his son and injuring two other citizens. The suspect fled after the incident and remained wanted by police.

Police used technical and human intelligence sources to trace and arrest the proclaimed offender. Seven of his accomplices involved in the case had already been arrested.

SP Sadar Anam Sher said the arrested proclaimed offender would be challaned before the court with solid evidence so that he could receive the punishment prescribed by law. She said indiscriminate action against proclaimed offenders and lawbreakers involved in serious crimes would continue, and they would be brought to justice at all costs.
