Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency Takes Special Measures to Beautify Green Spaces
RAWALPINDI (City Reporter): The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi is continuing special initiatives to beautify green belts, parks, and public spaces across the city and make them more attractive, green, and environmentally friendly.
As part of these efforts, comprehensive renovation, restoration, and beautification work has been completed at Anjum Iqbal Mughal Park located on Khayaban-e-Sir Syed. The initiative aims to provide residents with a cleaner, greener, healthier, and more pleasant environment.
Under the supervision of the Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi, several activities have been carried out in different parts of the park, including cleaning, grass cutting, pruning of plants, new plantation, installation of seasonal flowers, and restoration of green areas.
Special attention is also being given to the beautification of the park’s entrances and exits, walking tracks, green belts, and other prominent areas to make the facility more attractive and functional for local residents.
On the directives of Managing Director Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, the renovation and beautification work is being continuously monitored. He has directed the relevant officers and field staff to further strengthen practical measures to maintain cleanliness, plantation, and horticultural standards in all parks and green areas across the city.
The lawns at Anjum Iqbal Mughal Park are being regularly maintained and mowed, while new plants and seasonal flowers are also being planted at various locations. Flowering plants are being used to add colour and beauty to different sections of the park, which will not only enhance its appearance but also provide citizens with a pleasant natural environment.
The field staff of the Horticulture Agency is also regularly maintaining trees and plants, pruning unnecessary branches, and cleaning green areas. Unwanted weeds and bushes inside and around the park are being removed, while green belts are also being reshaped and improved.
Alongside the beautification work, the convenience and recreational needs of citizens are also being taken into consideration. Relevant staff are performing their duties on a daily basis to improve walking and recreational areas, maintain a clean park environment, and provide residents with a healthy recreational space.
According to Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi officials, city parks are not merely recreational spaces; they also play an important role in environmental improvement, providing clean air, and promoting a healthier society. Therefore, the restoration and beautification of parks and green areas across Rawalpindi are being given priority.
Environment-friendly horticulture has been given particular importance in the renovation and beautification of Anjum Iqbal Mughal Park.
Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said clear instructions had been issued to officers and field staff of the Horticulture Agency that no compromise would be made on cleanliness and maintenance standards alongside the beautification of parks.
He directed that the maintenance of facilities, restoration of lawns, and plantation activities in parks should continue on a regular basis.
