Successful Trap Raid by Anti-Corruption Establishment Sialkot — EPA Inspector Arrested, 40,000 Rupees Bribe Recovered

Sialkot: Under the special instructions of Director General Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab Lahore Sohail Zafar Chatha and Regional Director Anti-Corruption Gujranwala Amjad Shahzad, the Anti-Corruption Establishment Sialkot conducted a successful trap raid against corruption.
According to details, Rana Mubashir Ali, Circle Officer Anti-Corruption Sialkot, carried out the operation under the supervision of a Judicial Magistrate, arresting Shahid Mahmood Dogar, Inspector EPA (Environmental Protection Authority) Sialkot, for allegedly accepting a bribe.
During the operation, 40,000 rupees in marked/tainted notes were recovered from the suspect’s possession.
An FIR No. 35/2026 has been registered against the suspect under Section 161 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and Section 5(2)47 of the Prevention of Corruption Act at the Anti-Corruption Police Station Sialkot.
According to anti-corruption officials, legal action and investigation against the suspect are ongoing.
In accordance with the directives of the Director General Anti-Corruption Punjab, indiscriminate actions against corruption will continue, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved in corruption.
