Murree (Special Correspondent) – Unknown thieves stole valuable components from an electricity transformer in Dhok Tandoi, Mouza Ouchah, Union Council Rawat, during the night, leaving the entire area without electricity since the incident.

According to local residents, the thieves skillfully opened the transformer, removed its valuable internal components, and resealed it before fleeing the scene. This has raised suspicions that the crime may have involved individuals with technical expertise or familiarity with the electricity department. However, no official confirmation has been issued by the authorities regarding this possibility.

Residents further stated that another transformer had also been stolen from Mouza Ouchah during the previous winter, while an attempt to steal a transformer was made in Kaiyah a few days ago.

The local community has appealed to WAPDA authorities and the Chief Minister of Punjab to conduct a transparent investigation into the incident, bring those responsible to justice, and install a new transformer in the affected area as soon as possible so that electricity can be restored and residents are not forced to face further hardship.
