Illumination, Musical Night, Fireworks and School Speech Competitions Among Planned Events

DAUD KHEL (By Zia Niazi): A review meeting regarding preparations to celebrate Independence Day in a befitting manner and arrangements for various Independence Day programmes was held at the DC Office Committee Room under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Shahid Abbas Kathia.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Majid Bin Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Faisal Imran, Deputy Director Development Shoaib Raza Khan, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Mubashir Kaleem Gul, Municipal Officer Finance Arsalan Babar, Municipal Officer Planning Asim Zia, and officers from other relevant departments.

The Deputy Commissioner was briefed that arrangements for a number of Independence Day activities had been finalized. These include illumination of government buildings, a musical night, fireworks, speech competitions among schoolchildren, and other programmes.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Abbas Kathia said Independence Day celebrations would be held with national spirit, enthusiasm, and in a befitting manner.

He directed the concerned officers to ensure the illumination of government and private buildings and the hoisting of the national flag. He also instructed that markets and shops be decorated with decorative lights and flags.

The Deputy Commissioner directed municipal officers to complete all arrangements for the central Independence Day ceremony, musical night, and other scheduled events within the stipulated time.

He emphasized that all relevant departments should work in coordination to ensure that the Independence Day celebrations are organized successfully and in a manner befitting the occasion.
