Deportees Reportedly Paid Agents Between PKR 200,000 and PKR 1.2 Million to Reach Türkiye Through Illegal Routes; Handed Over to Anti-Human Trafficking Circle

The Immigration Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Islamabad Zone, has registered a case against ten Pakistani nationals who were deported from Türkiye. The individuals arrived in Pakistan on flight 9P747 and were taken into custody before being handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Islamabad, for further legal proceedings.

According to the FIA, preliminary investigations revealed that the deportees had allegedly paid various agents amounts ranging from PKR 200,000 to PKR 1.2 million in an attempt to enter Türkiye through illegal routes. However, they were apprehended by Turkish authorities at different times and subsequently deported to Pakistan.

The deportees have been identified as Muhammad Naeem (Rawalpindi), Tasawar Hussain (Layyah), Safdar Azad (Sialkot), Muhammad Sudais (Lahore), Muhammad Khalid (Peshawar), Qazi Zia-ur-Rehman (Peshawar), Hassan Ali (Swabi), Sohail Khan (Dera Ismail Khan), Asad Ali (Sargodha), and Usman Nawaz (Mansehra).

During the investigation, FIA officials found that, except for Muhammad Naeem, none of the deportees had any record of departure from Pakistan in the Immigration and Border Management System (IBMS). Records showed that Muhammad Naeem had legally departed Pakistan via the Taftan border crossing on November 19, 2025.

According to the FIA, the visas for the individuals were allegedly arranged by agents identified as Arsalan, son of Ehsan, Haji Qari, Irfan, Usman, and others. A case has been registered against the deportees under Sections 3 and 4 of the Passport Act, 1974, bearing Case No. AHTC-ICT-549/26. The agency said the role of the alleged human smuggling agents will be determined during the course of the investigation.

FIA officials stated that the investigation is ongoing and that legal action will be taken against all individuals found to be involved in the human smuggling network in accordance with the law.
