Rawalpindi (City Reporter): Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, Patron-in-Chief of Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Rawalpindi, has said that strong adherence to the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the guarantee of success, unity and welfare for the Muslim Ummah.

A weekly gathering of Zikr and Quranic study was organised under the auspices of Idara Taleemat-e-Islamia, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Rawalpindi. The event was hosted by Allama Sheikh Muhammad Qasim and attended by a large number of participants.

On the occasion, Patron-in-Chief Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, referring to the saying, “You must follow my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Caliphs,” said that Muslims should firmly follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the blessed practices of the Rightly Guided Caliphs.

He described the lives and character of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA), Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA), Hazrat Usman Ghani (RA) and Hazrat Ali Al-Murtaza (RA) as the best examples of unity, justice, moderation and guidance.

Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah said that love for the Ahl-e-Bait (RA) is a requirement of faith, while the teachings of the saints emphasise love, brotherhood, tolerance and obedience to Allah Almighty.

During the Quranic lecture, he shed light on the themes of Surah As-Sajdah and said that the Holy Quran provides comprehensive guidance for both the individual and collective lives of human beings.

He urged the participants to reflect upon the meanings and teachings of the Holy Quran, follow the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), observe humility and devotion in worship, and shape their lives according to Islamic teachings.

At the conclusion of the gathering, special prayers were offered for the unity of the Muslim Ummah, the security, stability, progress and prosperity of Pakistan, and the well-being of the Muslim world. The participants also expressed their resolve to incorporate the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah into their practical lives.
