Mianwali (Zia Niazi): Like other parts of the country, a grand rally was organized in District Mianwali by the district administration on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir. The rally was led by Deputy Commissioner Mianwali Shahid Abbas Kathia.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Muhammad Shahid Khokhar, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Majid Bin Ahmed, and Assistant Commissioner Mianwali Faisal Imran were also present on the occasion.
The rally was held from GPO Chowk to Committee Chowk to protest against India’s alleged occupation of Kashmir and serious violations of human rights. Participants were carrying Pakistani and Kashmiri flags, banners, and placards. The atmosphere of the rally echoed with slogans including “Kashmir will become Pakistan” and “Pakistan Zindabad.”
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Abbas Kathia said that on this day India had violated human rights by ending the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, which, he said, is strongly condemned by the entire Pakistani nation.
He stated that the purpose of observing this day is to convey a message to the international community that Kashmir is close to the hearts of Pakistanis and that the Pakistani nation and the country stand with the Kashmiri people.
He further said that the day is being observed as a Black Day in Pakistan and around the world in protest against the alleged denial of basic rights to the Kashmiri people. He paid tribute to the people of Kashmir for their continued struggle for their rights.
Later, a solidarity ceremony was also organized at the lawn of the Municipal Committee, where students presented national songs and speeches. Speakers strongly condemned India’s alleged occupation of Kashmir and expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
District administration officials, representatives of various departments, civil society members, media personnel, school students, and a large number of citizens attended the event.
