One thousand saplings to be distributed among colonies and surrounding communities to promote plantation and environmental awareness

Tarbela Ghazi (Correspondent): The Monsoon Tree Plantation Drive has been officially launched at the Tarbela Fifth Extension Project (T-5). During the inaugural ceremony, General Manager/Project Director Tarbela Fifth Extension Project Umair Manan inaugurated the plantation campaign by planting a sapling.

On the occasion, it was announced that under the Monsoon Tree Plantation Drive, one thousand saplings would be distributed among the colonies of the Tarbela Dam Project and surrounding communities. The initiative aims to encourage public participation in plantation activities and promote environmentally friendly practices.

General Manager/Project Director Umair Manan said that tree plantation was essential not only for reducing environmental pollution but also for mitigating the harmful impacts of climate change and providing future generations with a clean, green and healthy environment.

He urged citizens to play their role in making the national plantation campaign successful by planting more trees and ensuring their proper care and protection.
