Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at RDA

Rawalpindi (General Reporter) The 79th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the RDA headquarters under the instructions of Commissioner Rawalpindi and Director General of the Rawalpindi Development Authority, Salman Ghani. A flag-hoisting ceremony was held in this regard. The main building of RDA, along with Murree Road from Mureed Chowk to Liaquat Bagh and other important locations, was adorned with national flags, bunting, patriotic paintings, and electric lights, reflecting the joy of Independence Day and national spirit. During the ceremony, Additional DG RDA Masood Ahmed Bukhari and Director Administration RDA Nosheen Asrar cut the Independence Day cake and also planted trees at the RDA headquarters. The purpose of the tree planting was to express the commitment to a green and healthy Pakistan. The event was attended by Chief Planner RDA Muhammad Tahir Mayo, Director Land Ghanzafar Ali Awan, Director Finance Masood Arshad, Director Estate Management Iftikhar Ali, Deputy Director IT Dawood Khalid, Deputy Director Admin Ayesha Badr, along with other officials, staff, and employees of RDA. Director General RDA Salman Ghani extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation on Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day. He stated that our ancestors made countless sacrifices and endured immense hardships to achieve freedom. Independence Day reminds us of the great struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his vision and determination, under whose leadership Pakistan became a reality. He emphasized the importance of remembering and paying tribute to national heroes and praised the timeless sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces. He noted that today, as we live in freedom and dignity in our country, it is due to the unparalleled sacrifices of our armed forces. The Pakistan Army has always fulfilled national responsibilities with unwavering determination and professional capability, providing invaluable services for the defense and security of the motherland. He urged that Independence Day be celebrated with joy, unity, and special prayers for the peace, prosperity, and stability of the country. He prayed that Allah always keeps Pakistan safe and guides the nation on the path of development and prosperity. He expressed hope that, God willing, Pakistan will continue to advance on the path of development, overcoming all challenges. At the end of the ceremony, special prayers were offered for the country’s development, prosperity, security, and stability. The event was a strong expression of national spirit and patriotism, renewing the commitment to Pakistan’s development, unity, and prosperity.
