Qatari Investors Invited to Explore Investment Opportunities in Pakistan; Condolences Expressed on the Passing of Former Emir of Qatar and the Ambassador’s Father

Atif Ikram Sheikh visited the Embassy of Qatar in Islamabad, where he met with Qatar’s Ambassador, Ali Mubarak Ali Essa. During the meeting, the two sides held detailed discussions on strengthening bilateral trade, economic cooperation, investment, business relations, and other matters of mutual interest between Pakistan and Qatar.
The FPCCI President appreciated the positive role played by the leadership of both Pakistan and Qatar in promoting regional peace and stability. He also praised the long-standing fraternal, political, diplomatic, social, and economic ties between the two countries, describing them as a source of pride for both nations.
Atif Ikram Sheikh said there are significant opportunities to elevate economic cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar to new levels. He invited Qatari investors to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan’s energy, infrastructure, agriculture, information technology, tourism, and other key sectors. He assured that the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) would continue to play an active role in strengthening cooperation between the private sectors of both countries.
Qatari Ambassador Ali Mubarak Ali Essa appreciated Atif Ikram Sheikh’s efforts to promote bilateral relations and expressed his desire to further expand cooperation between the business communities of Pakistan and Qatar.
On the occasion, Atif Ikram Sheikh expressed heartfelt condolences on the passing of former Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, stating that the late leader had played a historic role in strengthening the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar. He also offered condolences on the death of the Qatari Ambassador’s father and prayed for the elevation of the departed souls and for patience and strength for their bereaved families.
The meeting was also attended by FPCCI Vice President Tariq Jadoon and Capital Office Chairman Karim Aziz Malik. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding bilateral trade, investment, and business cooperation between Pakistan and Qatar.
