Practical Measures Begin to Remove Encroachments in Ghazi Tehsil

TARBELA GHAZI (Correspondent): On the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Haripur, practical measures have been initiated to eliminate encroachments in Ghazi Tehsil. In this regard, the process of demarcating government boundaries from Ghazi Bus Stand to Jhanyan Chowk has been completed.

The demarcation was jointly carried out by the Tehsildar Ghazi, officials of the Revenue Department, WAPDA administration and security personnel. During the operation, the government boundary was measured up to 46.50 feet from the centre point of Tarbela Road, while red marks were placed at relevant locations to clearly demarcate the limits of government land.

Revenue Department officials Patwari Zamir Ahmed and Shehzad Patwari supervised the demarcation process in their respective circles.

On the occasion, Patwari Zamir Ahmed said that, in accordance with the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Haripur, government boundaries were being formally demarcated before action against encroachments. He said that each patwari was ensuring the demarcation of government land within their respective areas.

Speaking to the media, the Tehsildar Ghazi said that the demarcation phase was currently underway, after which a formal operation to remove encroachments would be launched.

He made it clear that, in accordance with the law, indiscriminate action would be taken against all illegal constructions and encroachments established on government land.

The administration has appealed to the public to respect government boundaries and voluntarily remove encroachments and cooperate with the administration so that public convenience, smooth traffic flow and the protection of government land can be ensured.
