RAWALPINDI (News Reporter): The Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency has initiated special measures to further enhance the beauty of Anjum Iqbal Mughal Park, located in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, as part of its commitment to making the city greener, more beautiful and environmentally friendly.
In this regard, special attention is being given to landscaping, horticulture, cleanliness and the improvement of civic facilities in various parts of the park so that citizens can be provided with a peaceful, beautiful and high-quality recreational environment.
In accordance with the special instructions of Managing Director Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, every part of the park is being improved in accordance with modern horticultural principles. Seasonal flowers are being planted, lawns are being maintained, trees are being pruned, walking tracks are being cleaned, seating areas are being repaired and children’s play equipment is being kept fully operational.
MD Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that parks are an important part of the beauty and environmental balance of any city. He said that Anjum Iqbal Mughal Park was being further beautified in accordance with modern requirements so that local residents, senior citizens, women and children could spend their time in a healthy and pleasant environment.
He said that clean, green and beautiful parks have a positive impact on the mental and physical health of citizens. Therefore, the Horticulture Agency was utilizing all available resources for this purpose.
He further directed that colourful seasonal flower beds, beautiful ornamental plants, modern landscaping and regular maintenance of green spaces should be ensured in the park. At the same time, the irrigation system should be made more effective so that the plants and grass could grow in the best possible manner.
The MD said that a high standard of cleanliness should be maintained in the park for the convenience of citizens, the lighting system should be improved and all basic facilities should remain operational so that families could enjoy the park safely during the evening hours as well.
He appealed to citizens to consider parks a shared national asset and fully cooperate with the Horticulture Agency in maintaining cleanliness, protecting plants and flowers and preventing environmental pollution. He said that making the city green and beautiful was not possible without public cooperation.
The Rawalpindi Horticulture Agency has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing effective measures in the future for the beautification, greenery and maintenance of all parks, green belts and public places in the city, with the aim of making Rawalpindi a green, beautiful and environmentally friendly city.
