Motorway Police Sub-Inspector Javed Akbar Martyred in Traffic Accident Near Kamra on GT Road

Islamabad (Asif Malik): Sub-Inspector Javed Akbar of the National Highways and Motorway Police was martyred in a traffic accident near Kamra on the GT Road.

According to the spokesperson of the Motorway Police, Sub-Inspector Javed Akbar was performing his routine duty when a speeding dumper truck struck him, leaving him critically injured. The injured officer was immediately shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Hazro, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment and was martyred.

The spokesperson said that after the accident, the dumper driver fled the scene, while a helper present in the dumper was arrested. Initial investigations revealed that the accident occurred due to the negligence and carelessness of the dumper driver.

The spokesperson further stated that martyred Sub-Inspector Javed Akbar belonged to Mardan and is survived by his wife and five children.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of National Highways and Motorway Police Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry expressed deep sorrow and grief over the incident. He offered condolences to the bereaved family of the martyred officer and prayed for their patience and strength during this difficult time.

He said that the services and sacrifices of martyred Sub-Inspector Javed Akbar would always be remembered.
