




Islamabad (Special Correspondent): The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted operations against drug smuggling in different cities across the country, recovering 383.6 kilograms of narcotics worth more than Rs. 30.5 million. Eight suspects were also arrested during the operations.
According to the ANF spokesperson, 9.2 kilograms of ice (crystal methamphetamine) were recovered from a passenger’s bag at Bacha Khan International Airport. The drugs were concealed inside an Ihram belonging to a passenger traveling to Jeddah.
Near the Karachi-Hyderabad Toll Plaza, 294 kilograms of hashish, a 30-bore pistol, one magazine, and six rounds of ammunition were recovered from a vehicle.
In Quetta, 30 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a motorcycle rider near a hotel, while during an operation at a house in Dina, 13.2 kilograms of hashish were recovered and a suspect was arrested.
Similarly, 12 kilograms of hashish were recovered from two suspects near Sohrab Goth, Karachi. In another operation near Turkai Toll Plaza, Jhelum, 7.2 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle and the suspect was arrested.
Additionally, 18 kilograms of hashish were seized from two fiber boxes at a courier office in Karachi.
According to the spokesperson, cases have been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway.
